The Kenya Hockey 5s men's National team head coach Mike Malungu is delighted with his charges as Kenya beat Australia 7-4 in their last Pool C match in Muscat, Oman.
Ivan Ludiali and Danstone Wabwire starred as they scored a hat-trick each while Bethuel Masambu scored a goal as Kenya beat Australia 7-4.

Malungu expressed his delight with an assessment of the team's overall performance, describing the squad as a "mixed work in progress."
Emphasizing the pivotal role of teamwork, he credited the collective effort for their qualification to the quarterfinals.
"It's evident that the team's cohesive play and commitment were key factors in securing a spot in the knockout stage," he said.
As the team faces the unique challenge of playing Oman on their home turf, Malungu outlined the strategic approach.
Recognizing Oman's strength in home advantage, the coaching staff plans to maintain patience and structure, focusing on a unified team effort to overcome the upcoming hurdle.
Malungu acknowledged the achievements so far in the competition and stressed the importance of staying grounded.
He expressed gratitude for the progress made, emphasizing the team's approach of taking one game at a time.
"We keep reminding ourselves why we are here, we were not invited we qualified and we are here to compete as Team Kenya for our hockey family and motherland Kenya," he said.
Looking ahead to the clash against Oman, Malungu conveyed determination.
"Tomorrow, we dig in to grind the much-needed win. The focus remains on the journey, the team's purpose, and the relentless pursuit of success on the international stage," he added.
